Manage Virtualization Managers Tab

A virtualization manager is a hypervisor though which CloudAdvisor can access all of the VMs that are associated with that hypervisor. After you add the virtualization manager, you can then add one or more of the associated VMs to CloudAdvisor's inventory. CloudAdvisor monitors all of the VMs in its inventory on a user-defined schedule.

The Manage Virtualization Managers tab lets you add and remove virtualization managers. When you add a virtualization manager, you also specify the credentials that CloudAdvisor will use to communicate with it.

When adding a virtualization manager, keep the following in mind:

Content Description
Search Enables you to filter the host name list based on textual entries.
Open button

Opens a Virtualization Manager Details tab for each selected (checked) virtualization manager. For more information, see VM Details Tab.

Actions drop-down menu

Provides access to all actions that you can perform on the selected virtualization manager.

Name Host name or IP address of the virtualization manager.
Type Virtualization manager type.
Version Software version of the virtualization manager.
Credential Administrator account user name used to access the virtualization manager.
Status Current test status of the virtual machine.
