The Manage VMs tab provides a list of all VMs in the CloudAdvisor inventory. Using this tab, you can add new VMs and remove existing VMs. If you select one or more VMs from the list, you can change the Insight Profile, Snapshot Schedule, and CloudAdvisor Discovery Tools installation settings for the selected VMs.
The Export menu lets you export the list of VMs in csv (comma separated values) or tsv (tab separated values) format.
To view this tab from the Home tab, select Inventory > VMs.

Export drop-down menu |
Enables the export of the output VM list. The Export drop-down menu exports data in comma-separated value (csv) and tab-separated value (tsv) formats.

Name | The name of the VM as well as the name of the provider through which CloudAdvisor accesses the VM. Click the name to view the VM Details Tab for that VM. | |||
Guest OS | Operating system running on the VM. | |||

CloudAdvisor Tools |
Indicates if CloudAdvisor Discovery Tools is installed and up to date. If CloudAdvisor Discovery Tools is installed on the VM, the version number is displayed. The Warning icon indicates there is an upgrade available or that CloudAdvisor Discovery Tools is not installed on the VM. Click the version number to upgrade or click Install Now to install the latest version of CloudAdvisor Discovery Tools. See Managing CloudAdvisor Discovery Tools. |

Activity Status | Indicates whether activities are evaluated in real time or at the time of DiscoveryPoints. If CloudAdvisor Discovery Tools is not installed, the status displays as "Not Available". The description "Activities at DiscoveryPoints" indicates that activities are not being collected in Real Time and are being evaluated at DiscoveryPoints instead. |

Update Insight Profile | Changes the Insight Profile assigned to the selected VMs. You can either select an existing Insight Profile or create a new one. For details, see Insight Profile View. |
Update Schedule |
Changes the snapshot schedule assigned to the selected VMs. This option only applies to those VMs that CloudAdvisor accesses through a virtualization manager. If CloudAdvisor accesses any of the selected VMs through a backup provider, CloudAdvisor automatically skips those VMs when it applies the snapshot schedule. For details, see Snapshot Schedules Tab. |
Remove from Inventory | Removes the VM from the CloudAdvisor inventory and deletes any DiscoveryPoints created for that VM. For details, see Removing VMs from Inventory. |
Manage Discovery Tools | Lets you manage the version of CloudAdvisor Discovery Tools installed on the VM and set when the tools should collect data. For details, see Managing CloudAdvisor Discovery Tools. |
