Manage Backup Providers Tab

The Manage Backup Providers tab lets you specify the backup providers that CloudAdvisor can use to access files on the associated VMs. For VMs that are regularly backed up by a backup utility, this provides an alternate way for CloudAdvisor to monitor the files on the VM.

When adding backup providers, keep the following in mind:

Tab Information

Content Description
Search Enables you to filter the backup provider list based on textual entries.
Open button

Opens a Backup Provider tab for each selected (checked) backup provider. For more information, see Backup Provider Details Tab.

Actions drop-down menu

Provides access to all actions that you can perform on the selected backup providers. For more information, see:

Name Backup provider server name or IP address. Click the name to view the Backup Provider Details Tab for any backup provider.
Type Backup provider type.
Version Version of the backup provider server.
Credential User name for the backup provider admin account.
Status Indicates the status of connectivity between CloudAdvisor and that specific backup provider.
