Mail Settings
Click the Settings Icon, and then click Mail Server. Fill in the blanks in the form that appears.
Configuring the Fields for the Mail Server
The settings:
- Server: The IP address or fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the SMTP server.
- If your domain has an MX record configured, you can use the KeyControl appliance to relay mail by setting the IP address to
127.0.0.1
. This is the default behavior.
- If your domain has an MX record configured, you can use the KeyControl appliance to relay mail by setting the IP address to
- Port: The mail server port.
- Login: This field is optional.
- Password: This field is optional.
- Sender: The sender name and email address.
- SSL: If your server requires SMTP Secure (SMTPS), enable this option.
It is recommended that you test email settings by clicking the Send Test Email button.
NOTE: If you check the Disable E-mail Notifications checkbox, you can only recover Admin Key Parts through the Alerts tab.
