When you first log in to the Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager Tenant Management page, you are prompted to create the Default Tenant. The Default tenant automatically connects to the Discovery and KeySafe5 applications. These applications are single-tenant only, and therefore require one single tenant in the Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager to associate with.

You can rename the Default tenant, but you cannot delete it.

Note: If you log in to the Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager using an FQDN, then all tenants that you create will use the FQDN in the tenant URL. If you log in from a standard IP address, then the tenants that you create will use the IP address in the tenant URL.

  1. Log into the Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager webGUI with your standard account credentials.

  2. On the Tenants page, the Default tenant has already been started for you. You can change the name of the tenant, but the tenant will still be the Default tenant.

  3. Choose whether you want to use email notifications.

Important: If SMTP is not enabled in Cryptographic Security Platform Appliance Management, you will not be able to use email notifications in Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager. If you cannot use email, you will need to see and give the following information to the Tenant Administrator:

    • Tenant URL

    • User Name

    • Temporary Password

  4. Enter the Admin Name and Admin Email for the user who will have complete access and control over the tenant. This user is the Tenant Administrator. The tenant administrator will be responsible for inviting additional members.

  5. Enter the password and confirm the password for the Default tenant.
  6. Choose the additional roles that you would like to assign to this tenant.

    • Discovery—Grants administrative access to the Discovery application.

    • KeySafe5—Grants administrative access to the KeySafe5 application.

    • Tenant Management (Appliance)—Grants administrative access to the Tenant Management (Appliance) application.

  7. Click Create Tenant.

The tenant is created, and one of the following occurs:

  • With Email—If email notification is enabled, the administrator of the new tenant will be sent an email with a unique URL and a temporary password to log into their site. The tenant creator will not have access to the site, only the URL which will be located in the tenant details for future reference.

  • Without Email—If email notification is not enabled, the tenant creator will need to send the administrator of the new tenant all of the details that are required to log in. Only the URL is stored in the tenant details section, but nothing prevents the creator from retaining the information.
