DiscoveryPoint Catalog Tab

The Catalog tab for a DiscoveryPoint lists the changed or deleted files in the VM since the last DiscoveryPoint was created.

The following table provides information about the content in the DiscoveryPoints catalog.

Content Description
Snapshot Icon The snapshot icon indicates a corresponding snapshot is available for the DiscoveryPoint. DiscoveryPointswith a snapshot allow you to download or restore files.
Locked Icon

The locked icon indicates DiscoveryPoint and associated snapshot is locked and will not be deleted even when the end of the snapshot retention period is reached. Click "change" to unlock the DiscoveryPoint.

Note: Once the DiscoveryPoint is unlocked, it cannot be locked again.
Unlocked Icon The unlocked icon indicates the DiscoveryPoint and associated snapshot is unlocked and will be automatically deleted at the end of the snapshot retention period.
Total Changed Number of changed files since the last DiscoveryPoint was created.
Total Deleted Number of deleted files since the last DiscoveryPoint was created.
Description Description of the DiscoveryPoint.
Search DiscoveryPoint Allows you to search the most recent version of all files in the DiscoveryPoint. For information about how to use the search features, see Searching Data.
Catalog Lists the changed or deleted files in the VM since the last DiscoveryPoint was created.
Show Defines the number of VMs that appear in the output table per page.
Restore button Restores the selected file(s) from the table.
Export drop-down menu

Enables the export of the output in the table. The Export drop-down menu currently exports data in comma-separated value (csv) and tab-separated value (tsv) formats.

Note: Time fields in csv and tsv export results are reported in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). They can be converted to local time in Excel.
File Name

Name of the file. If the name is italicized, that means the file has been deleted.
Type Indicates whether the file has been changed or deleted.
Size Size of the file (in Bytes, KB, or GB).
File Details icon

Displays system and file properties as well as tag stored matches and a summary of the file's contents. For more information, see Viewing File Details.
Download icon Launches a download of the file to the local system.
Restore icon Launches a restore action on the file. This action opens a Restore Items view from which you can restore previous versions of the file.
Filter Filter bar enabling you to filter the file activity output that follows. You can filter using any combination of Date and File Path.
