Associating an Elastic IP Address with KeyControl Compliance Manager

An elastic IP address is a static IPv4 address that allows you to access the KeyControl Compliance Manager AWS instance from a web browser. An elastic IP address is required in order to configure and maintain the KeyControl Compliance Manager using the KeyControl Appliance Management webGUI and the KeyControl Compliance Manager System Console.

  1. In the Amazon Management Console's top menu bar, select Services > EC2.

  2. In the EC2 Dashboard, select Network & Security > Elastic IPs.

  3. Click the blue Allocate new address button.

  4. Click Allocate.

  5. Make a note of the new IP address and click Close.

  6. In the table of elastic IP addresses, select the EIP address you just created.

  7. Select Actions > Associate address.

  8. On the Associate Address page, select the KeyControl Compliance Manager instance in the Instance drop-down list, then click Associate.

  9. On the confirmation page, click Close.

  10. Repeat this procedure for any other KeyControl Compliance Manager instance that does not have an associated IPv4 Public IP address.

  11. When you have assigned all KeyControl Compliance Manager instances an EIP address, from the EC2 Dashboard, select Instances.

  12. In the table, locate your KeyControl Vault instances and make sure the correct elastic IP addresses appear in the IPv4 Public IP column.
