Upgrading Your License

A 30-day trial license key is shipped with the product that includes access to all product features and allows you to configure up to two KeyControl nodes and to protect up to five virtual machines. The trial license is automatically activated when you configure the first KeyControl node.

To request an upgraded license:

1. Log into the KeyControl webGUI.
2. On the top menu bar, click Settings.
3. In the System Settings section, click License.
4. Send an email request to HyTrust License Support. The email should include the License ID and License Version shown in the Expiration & Restrictions section.
5. HyTrust support will send the new license file as an email attachment. Save the new license file somewhere that KeyControl can access.
6. Log back into the KeyControl webGUI and return to the Settings > License page.
7. Click Browse and select the license file.
8. Click Upload File.
