Changing the IP Address for a Node
- If the node is part of a cluster:
- Log into the KeyControl webGUI on one of the nodes you are not changing using an account with Domain Admin privileges.
- Remove the node you want to change from the cluster as described in Removing a KeyControl Node from a Cluster.
- Log out of the webGUI on that node.
- Log into the webGUI on the node that you want to change using an account with Domain Admin privileges.
- In the top menu bar, click Cluster.
- Click the Servers tab.
Click the other nodes in the cluster and select Actions > Remove KeyControl Node.

- Log out of the webGUI on that node.

Log in as root on the server whose IP address you want to change.
KeyControl displays the TUI (Text-based User Interface).
- Select Manage Network Settings.
- Select Change Current Network Configuration.
- Press Enter to acknowledge the message that changing the IP address requires reauthentication.

On the HyTrust SecureOS Network Configuration page, select Custom Configuration and press Enter.

On the Network Configuration page, make the desired changes.
- The hostname can contain any alphanumeric characters or hyphens (-). You cannot specify spaces or any other special characters in this field.
- To enter multiple DNS addresses, separate them with a comma. For example, you could enter
192.168.162.2,192.168.162.3.
- For all network types, the NTP Servers configuration defaults to a set of pooled servers provided by
ntp.org. This default is set by FreeBSD.
- When you are finished, select OK and press Enter. KeyControl restarts the network services using the new network inforrmation.
- If this node was part of a cluster, re-join the cluster as described in Joining or Re-joining a KeyControl Cluster.
