Signing in to the Vault for the First Time

When the tokenization vault is created, the vault administrator receives the URL of the vault and a temporary password. After signing in for the first time, the vault administrator needs to change the password.

  1. Using the URL that is provided, navigate to the tokenization vault.

The URL is in the format:
    https://<vault-ip-address>/tokenization/<vault-id>/<vault-name>

  2. Sign in to the vault using:

Name: Your email address. This is the email address that the vault invite was sent to, or that you were provided by the vault creator.

Password: The temporary password provided in the vault invite email or sent to you by the vault creator.

  3. Click SIGN IN.

  4. On the Change Password window, enter and re-enter your new password and click Change.

  5. On the sign in page, enter your new credentials and click SIGN IN.

  6. Choose whether or not to use an HSM to store the keys for the vault and click Not Now or Continue.

If you chose Continue, you are taken to the Settings > Advanced tab. If an HSM is available, you can enable it now. If an HSM is not detected, you are advised to contact your system administrator if you require an HSM. If you chose to not use an HSM, keys are stored in KeyControl.

If you chose Not Now, you are taken to the Home screen for the KeyControl Vault for Application Security webGUI.
