Creating a P12 Secret

1. From the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Secrets webGUI, select Manage > Manage Boxes.

2. On the Manage Boxes page, select the box where you want to create a secret.

3. On the Box page, in the Secrets region, click Add.

4. In the Choose a type of secret to create dialog box, select P12.

5. In the Create Secret: P12 dialog box, complete the following: 

   Option	Description
   Name	Enter the name of secret.
   Description	Enter a description for the secret.
   Secret Expiration (under Advanced Settings)	Optional. Select one of the following:  No Expiration—The secret does not expire. This is the default. Use Box Setting—Accepts the global box value. Specific Date and Time—Allows you to set the specific date and time for the secret to expire.

6. For each Private Key / Certificate Pair, enter the following: 

   Option	Description
   Name	Enter the name of secret.
   Profile ID	Enter the profile ID for the private key / certificate pair.
   Description	Enter a description for the private key / certificate pair.
   Private Key	Click Browse and select the private key that you want to upload.
   Private Key Password	Enter the password for the private key / certificate pair.
   Certificate	Click Browse and select the certificate that you want to upload. Click the plus sign (+) to upload an additional certificate.

7. Optionally click Add another Private Key / Certificate Pair to add additional private key / certificate pairs.
8. When you are finished, click Create.
