Installing the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault Linux Policy Agent for Oracle TDE 

To install and set up Cryptographic Security Platform Vault on Oracle Server. You will need to:

  • Install the Policy Agent on the Oracle Server VM

    Important: Only virtual machines are supported.

  • Create a VM Set in the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Databases.

  • Register the Oracle Server VM on the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault VM Set.

Important: When using Oracle TDE, the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Databases supports Oracle Database version 19c on Oracle Linux, RHEL, and SUSE. For the specific platform versions, see the Linux Platforms Supported for Data Encryption section in Supported Platforms.

To install and register the Policy Agent on the Oracle Server:

  1. Log into the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Databases webGUI.

  2. In the top menu bar, click Workloads.

  3. Select Actions > Download Policy Agent.

  4. Install the Policy Agent on the Oracle Server VM. For more information, see Linux Policy Agent Installation.

  5. Return to the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Databases webGUI and click Workloads in the top menu bar.

  6. Select Actions > Create New Cloud VM Set. For more information, see Creating a Cloud VM Set for the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Databases.

  7. Register the Oracle Server VM with Cryptographic Security Platform Vault.
