Creating a Key

  1. Log into the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Cryptographic APIs webGUI.

  2. From the Home tab, select Manage > Keys.

  3. Click the Create icon.

  4. In the Create Key dialog box, complete the following: 

    Field

    Description

    Name

    Enter the name for the key.

    Description

    Enter the optional description for the key.

    Algorithm

    Select the algorithm to use for the key. This can be one of the following: 

    • AES

    • ARIA

    • RSA

    • DES

    • DESede

    • SEED

    • HMAC

    • EC

    • ML-DSA (PQ algorithm)

    • SLH-DSA (PQ algorithm)

    Important: If you want to use a key with a tokenization policy, it must be of type AES.

    Key Length

    Select the key length for the key.

    Note: The EC algorithm uses Key Curve instead of key length.

  5. Click Create.
