Your Cryptographic Security Platform Vault license determines the number of nodes you can have in a cluster, the number of VMs that you can manage, and the length of time for which you can use the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault. Detailed license information is available in the Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager, but you can view the status and the last time you have synced your Vaults and CSP Compliance Manager on the License page.

Several audit messages also contain information about your licenses for the CSP Vault for VM Encryption, the CSP Vault for Databases, the CSP Vault for Cloud Keys, and the CSP Vault appliance. For example: 

• When you first upgrade from CSP Vault 10.4.x to 10.5.x, there is a 30-day upgrade grace period to get used to the new licensing model. The audit message informs you that you are in the grace period after upgrade, and that your system will become unlicensed when the grace period ends.

• When your CSP Vault is no longer connected to the CSP Compliance Manager, you will see a message saying that it has not synced to CSP Compliance Manager in x days. These messages start at 7 days after the last sync until the 30 day license sync grace period ends.

Beginning with 10.5.3, when there are important issues with your license, you will now see pop-up warnings in the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault webGUI as well as audit messages.
