SNMP Traps in Cryptographic Security Platform Vault
You can configure Cryptographic Security Platform Vault to send an SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) trap whenever an alert is generated. These alerts can be divided into two categories:
- System-level alerts apply to events that are handled by Security Admins, such as numerous failed login attempts for a Cryptographic Security Platform Vault user account or if the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault license is about to expire.
- Group-level alerts apply to events that are handled by Cloud Admins or Domain Admins, such as if a VM needs to be re-authorized or if the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault cluster status changes.
You can specify one system-level SNMP trap configuration and one group-level SNMP trap configuration for each Cloud Admin or Domain Admin user group in the system.
If a group-level alert is raised and there is no matching group-level SNMP trap configuration, Cryptographic Security Platform Vault defaults to the system-level SNMP trap configuration.
