Viewing the Expiration Date for the Current Cryptographic Security Platform Vault SSL Certificate

It is critical to keep the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault certificate current. If it expires, Cryptographic Security Platform Vault will be unable to send keys to the registered VMs and data access will be denied until a valid certificate is installed.

Use the following procedure to view the expiration date for the current Cryptographic Security Platform Vault certificate on the selected Cryptographic Security Platform Vault node.

  1. Log into the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault Management webGUI using an account with Domain Admin privileges.
  2. In the top right, click the Switch to Appliance Management link.
  3. In the top menu bar, click Cluster.
  4. Click the Servers tab and select a Cryptographic Security Platform Vault node.
  5. To view the SSL certificate configured for the internal web server, click the link next to Internal Web server in the Certificate detail.

The link name is Default if the internal web server is using the default self-signed certificate and Custom if it is using a custom SSL certificate.

  6. To view the SSL certificate configured for the external web server, click the link next to External Web server in the Certificate detail.

The link name is Default if the external web server is using the default self-signed certificate and Custom if it is using a custom SSL certificate.

  7. When you are done, click Close.
  8. If you want to check the expiration date for the certificate on another Cryptographic Security Platform Vault node, select that node and repeat this procedure.
