Removing a Cryptographic Security Platform Vault Node from a Cluster

You can remove and later re-join nodes that are unreachable for an extended time due to maintenance or other issues. Because there may be multiple administrators for this appliance, please ensure that all other administrators are aware of any changes that you make to the cluster.

  1. Log into the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault Management webGUI on any node you are not removing using an account with Domain Admin privileges.
  2. In the top right, click the Switch to Appliance Management link.
  3. In the top menu bar, click Cluster.
  4. Click the Servers tab.
  5. Select the node or nodes that you want to remove.

Important: All unreachable nodes need to be removed together. To remove multiple nodes, click the Multi-Select checkbox at the top-right of the page.

  6. Select Actions > Remove.
  7. Click Proceed at the prompt to confirm the request.
  8. Cryptographic Security Platform Vault removes the node and refreshes the Servers tab.
