Installing and Registering the Policy Agent for SQL Server

To install and register the Policy Agent on the SQL Server:

1. Log into the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Databases webGUI using an account with Cloud Admin privileges.

2. In the top menu bar, click Workloads.

3. Select Actions > Download Policy Agent.

4. Install the Policy Agent on your SQL Server VM. For more information, see Windows Policy Agent Installation .

5. Locate the Cloud VM Set that you created on the WORKLOADS tab.

6. Register the SQL Server VM with Cryptographic Security Platform Vault. See Registering the Policy Agent Using the Entrust Policy Agent GUI for the procedure.

7. Select the database connector that you just created, and select Actions > Generate Access Token.

   On the Generate Access Token window, the new access token is created and displays both an identity and a secret. You will need to copy these to use when configuring the cryptographic provider.
