Creating a Personal Access Token

Depending on your Cryptographic Security Platform Vault, the creation process differs.

Creating a Personal Access Token with the Application Security, KMIP, and Secrets Vaults: 

  1. Log into one of the following vaults: 

    • Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Cryptographic APIs

    • Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for KMIP

    • Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Secrets

  2. In the top right of the webGUI, click the Account icon drop-down and select Personal Access Token.

  3. In the Generate Personal Access Token window, enter your name, the description, and the expiration date for the token.

  4. Click Generate Token.

    Cryptographic Security Platform Vault generates the token, and displays it in the Personal Access Token Successfully Generated window. Copy the token and keep it in a safe place.

    Important: If you do not save the token now, you will need to create a new personal access token.

Creating a Personal Access Token with the Cloud Keys, Databases, and VM Encryption Vaults:

  1. Log into one of the following vaults: 

    • Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Cloud Keys

    • Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Databases

    • Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for VM Encryption

  2. In the top right of the webGUI, click the account name drop-down and select Personal Access Token.

  3. Click Generate Token.

    Cryptographic Security Platform Vault generates the token, and displays it in the Personal Access Token Successfully Generated window. Copy the token and keep it in a safe place.

    Important: If you do not save the token now, you will need to create a new personal access token.
