Configuring Local Authentication for Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Cloud Keys

Local authentication is enabled by default when you create a vault. If using local authentication, no further authentication configuration is required. The next step is to configure your access policies and users.

Note: You can change the authentication method as required. If you change the authentication method, local authentication will still be available. For example, you can configure LDAP or OIDC for all of your users, but have local authentication available for admin users.
