An elastic IP address is a static IPv4 address that allows you to access the Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager AWS instance from a web browser. An elastic IP address is required in order to configure and maintain the Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager using the Cryptographic Security Platform Appliance Management webGUI and the Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager System Console.

  1. In the Amazon Management Console's top menu bar, select Services > EC2.

  2. In the EC2 Dashboard, select Network & Security > Elastic IPs.

  3. Click the blue Allocate new address button.

  4. Click Allocate.

  5. Make a note of the new IP address and click Close.

  6. In the table of elastic IP addresses, select the EIP address you just created.

  7. Select Actions > Associate address.

  8. On the Associate Address page, select the Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager instance in the Instance drop-down list, then click Associate.

  9. On the confirmation page, click Close.

  10. Repeat this procedure for any other Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager instance that does not have an associated IPv4 Public IP address.

  11. When you have assigned all Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager instances an EIP address, from the EC2 Dashboard, select Instances.

  12. In the table, locate your Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager instances and make sure the correct elastic IP addresses appear in the IPv4 Public IP column.
