Exporting the Audit Log

You can export the audit log in CSV (comma-separated value) or XML format.

CSV Format

To download the entire audit log or selected audit log rows in CSV (comma-separated value) format:

  1. Log into the Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager webGUI with your standard account credentials.
  2. In the top right, click the Switch to Appliance Management link.
  3. In the top menu bar, click Audit Log.

  4. If you want to download a subset of audit log messages, select the appropriate rows. If you have filtered the list, you can export just the filtered items without selecting them first.

  5. Select Actions > Export.
  6. Select CSV in the Format Type drop-down.

  7. In the Which Rows? drop-down, select:

    All Loaded—Downloads the audit log messages that match the selected filters, if any. If there are no filters, this option downloads all audit log messages.

    Selected—Downloads just those audit log messages selected in the Cryptographic Security Platform Appliance Management webGUI using the Multi-Select option.

  8. In the Which Columns? drop-down, select All.

  9. Click Generate.

    Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager generates a file called csp-compliance-manager-audit-log-secadmin_datetimestamp.csv. The datetimestamp is in the format month, day, year, hour, minute, seconds, AM/PM. For example, csp-compliance-manager-audit-log-secadmin_4-19-2023,2-26-48-PM.csv.

  10. After the audit log has finished generating, click Download.

XML Format

  1. Log into the Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager webGUI with your standard account credentials.
  2. In the top right, click the Switch to Appliance Management link.
  3. In the top menu bar, click Audit Log.
  4. Select Actions > Export.

  5. Select XML in the Format Type drop-down.

  6. Click Generate.

    Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager generates a file called csp-compliance-manager-audit-log-secadmin_datetimestamp.xml. The datetimestamp is in the format month, day, year, hour, minute, seconds, AM/PM. For example, csp-compliance-manager-audit-log-secadmin_3-19-2025,2-26-48-PM.xml.

  7. After the audit log has finished generating, click Download.

    Note: If you are not ready to download, the audit log is stored until you can download it.
