Overview of the Installation Steps

Installing and configuring CloudControl requires the following tasks:

Ensure that your environment meets the basic system requirements.

If you plan to use Active Directory, create a service account with the proper permissions.

See Active Directory Service Account Requirements.

Deploy CloudControl as a VMware vSphere virtual machine, and confirm that the network adapter(s) are properly configured and connected.

Power on the CloudControl virtual machine.

See Power On the Appliance.

Determine whether you want to use a standalone node or cluster, and then configure the virtual appliance.

See Configuring the CloudControl Virtual Appliance.

Run the setup wizard in the CloudControl GUI.

If you are going to use a cluster, and created the primary node for a one-node cluster, then create the secondary node.
