Protected Hosts

CloudControl can protect the following types of hosts:

• vCenter Server host, including its managed ESXi hosts, and a vSphere Web Client Server host. For more information, see Adding a Host.

• vSphere Web Client Server host. For more information, see Adding a WCS Host.
• NSX Manager with vCenter or as a separate host. For more information, see NSX Host Management.
• ESXi hosts not managed by vCenter Server. For more information, see Adding Unmanaged Host.

Important: A data center with CloudControl managed hosts will not be fully protected until all of the hosts in the data center are protected.
