High Availability Setup and Configuration
It is important to have the proper measures (i.e., notifications) in place to alert CloudControl administrators well in advance of a failover event so they can try to determine the root cause of the issue. For more information on configuring CloudControl notifications, see the Configuring Notifications section in the Administration Guide for HyTrust CloudControl.
When setting up CloudControl HA, the primary CloudControl should be deployed and configured. A second CloudControl instance should then be deployed and joined to the Primary CloudControl to establish the High Availability cluster.
If you choose to use a dedicated network, then the management interface (eth0
) and the HA interface (eth2
) for the private network are required to be on different subnets. In addition, the network segment used by eth2
should be correctly propagated between the clusters hosting the primary and secondary CloudControl nodes.
