The Search tab enables you to search connected virtual machines.
Clicking in the search bar opens a Search Quick Reference. This quick reference provides some basic syntax options that you can use when defining a search.
You can create a search using one of two methods — manually typing textual search criteria directly into the search bar or building the search using the CloudAdvisor Search Builder. When you add a search term using the Search Builder, CloudAdvisor adds the textual equivalent of any selections you make in the Search Builder to the search bar. This method can help to familiarize you with the proper search bar syntax.
You can use the Search Builder to add one or more search terms to the search bar, in various combinations. When adding search terms to the search bar, keep the following in mind:
When you add multiple search terms of the same type (for example, multiple keyword, file path, or user criterion), the like terms are treated using a logical OR function.
When you add multiple search terms of different types, the unlike terms are treated using a logical AND function.
