Exporting Search Results

CloudAdvisor enables you to export information that you obtain from a search using the Export menu. You can export the information in one of the following two supported file formats:

Comma-separated values (CSV) – Exports the tabular data (listed search results) output in plain-text form, separated by commas.
Tab-separated values (TSV) – Exports the tabular data (listed search results) output in plain-text form, separated by tabs.

Various software applications (for example, Microsoft Excel, Apple iWork Numbers, and so on) support CSV or TSV output. You can use one of these applications to interpret, format, and view the exported data.

Note:

Time fields in CSV and TSV export results are reported in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). They can be converted to local time in Excel.

To export search results:

Generate the desired search results.
From the tab or view containing the search results, click the Export drop-down menu and select the export format you want to use.
In the Export Results dialog box, click Download.

CloudAdvisor downloads the export file to your browser's default download directory. The file name is specific to the target from which the information was exported. For example, if you create a csv file from a search using all targets, the output file is called All.csv.
