Adding Backup Providers

CloudAdvisor uses Veeam-specific credentials to access the Veeam-protected VMs. When adding a Veeam backup system, keep the following in mind:

To add a backup provider:

  1. In the Add Backup Provider page, specify the following policy properties:

    Field Name Description
    Server Name or IP Address Name or IP address of the backup provider server you are adding.
    User Name User name credentials for this system.
    Password Password credentials for this system.
  2. Click Continue.

    CloudAdvisor verifies the credentials.

  3. Click Add to Inventory.

    CloudAdvisor verifies connectivity to the backup provider and discovers details about the system.

  4. In the Add Backup Provider dialog box, optionally specify time periods during which you do not want CloudAdvisor to perform any analysis tasks.
  5. Click Continue.

    CloudAdvisor closes the Add Backup Provider dialog box and returns to the Setup wizard.
